Orlando Magic Are Primed to Go Back to the Finals

I can hear you Celtics and Cavaliers fans already and I’m hear to tell you to shut your pie holes now, because the Magic are the better of the 3 teams.

I know Kevin Garnett is back and I love the guy, he’s a baller, excellent teammate and dude has desire to win, but he’s 33, coming off a knee injury that caused him to miss the end of last season and his durability is questionable at best. If he doesn’t have the spring, quickness and strength that has made him the freakish 7 footer that he is, then he’s just another skinny 7 footer that will get torched nightly. I do like the addition of Rasheed Wallace and although he’s getting older too, he can knock down the 3 and play some defense. Wallace also brings grit, experience and dramatically helps Boston’s bench. Ray Allen is no longer the same player and he’s not even a shadow of what he used to be. In the end the Celtics will give the Magic another run, but they don’t have an answer for Dwight Howard and his 20/20 is going to kill them.

Ahhhhh Cav fan, in word: HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Your team Lebron blows. Lebron Jame’s true colors surfaced last season. Dude started out like the next face of the NBA with great attitude and likeability, but it turns out he’s a selfish whiner that can’t win the big games. His lack of class was clearly shown after the Magic destroyed the Cavs in the playoffs last season, he couldn’t even apologize correctly after a few days. Lebron’s contract, or lack of one, is going tear this team up as the season goes along and it’s also going to make Lebron an even more selfish player than he already is. If you think Shaq is going to help get over the hump, think again. Shaq is old, and holy shit, fat too. He’s the Brett Favre of the NBA, he’ll start out great, but come the end of the season when you need him most his age and conditioning will catch up to him. Don’t even get me started with the rest of the team like Delonte West carrying enough guns to be on an episode of the Terminator or fact the that Anderson Varejoa couldn’t guard someone if he stood still. Cav fan enjoy your last good season for a while and get used to the idea of the 23 jersey being retro soon.

I don’t care about Hedo and Lee, it’s not a knock on them, it’s just I love the moves the Magic have made this off season. Yep, Vince Carter isn’t the best passer, but he’s a finisher and that’s why the Magic went out and traded for him. Jameer Nelson is back and he’s a pure point guard and he’ll probably finish near the top in assists this season. The resigning and contract matching of Marcin Gortat was statement of how serious the Magic are to making it to the finals. Gortat puts them in the luxury tax, which is a big deal, but I think he’s worth it. The Magic also acquired little known stud Brandon Bass and he’ll help Howard on the boards all season. The additions of Ryan Anderson, Jason Williams and Matt Barnes give Gundy a nice bench to work with too. The key to the season is the big man: Dwight Howard. He’s only 23 and he’s a freak and the best big man in the NBA. He averaged over 20 points and 13 rebounds last season and look for the same or better this season too.

Cavaliers vs. Magic

It’s a long season, but if the Magic stay healthy they will make to the finals again.
