Carlos Boozer probably had nightmares about Howard before the game and I’m sure he’ll be haunted by the man size beating Howard gave him in Sunday’s game. At one point I thought Boozer’s feet were nailed to the court, how many times did Howard flash out of the post only to reverse back, catch the lob and dunk it on that fool. Wasn’t Boozer an All-Star last year? Dwight Howard simply toyed with Boozer all game and it was effortless and the frustration on Boozer’s face was priceless. I thought I saw Boozer mouth the words, “He took my lunch money”.
Jerry Sloan is a great coach and he also proved to me he’s a smart man. He could see it was going to be a long game after Howard had a double double in the first quarter, so he promptly had himself ejected. Way to go Sloan, that fired up the team.
In case you missed it Jazz fan, because your state shuts down on Sundays, check out the video that recaps the beating Boozer and Jazz took.
Everything is lining up nicely for the Orlando Magic as the season winds down. With a game to play to the Magic are only half a game behind the slumping Boston Celtics, so it should be a great stretch run. It’s no secret home court is going to be huge in the playoffs. I honestly want the Celtics to get healthy. The last thing I want to hear is Boston fan whining about injuries. It will sound like last years ALCS and all I heard was, “but only if Mike Lowe’s labrum was healthy, things would have been different against those Rays.” That accent is like nails on the chalkboard when it complains about sports.
Tuesday night’s games should tell a lot about how the top seeds shape up. The Magic head to up to Cleveland to play the Cavs and the Bulls will host the Celtics. The Cavs only have 1 loss at home and the Bulls are scrapping for the final playoff spot.
Go Magic!
